ATTORNEY ROBERTS: BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Sanford Roberts PA has been practicing law in New Hampshire and southern Maine for more than 20 years. A former shareholder of the law firm Shaheen & Gordon, Attorney Roberts now focuses his practice on advising, representing and litigating on behalf of condominium and homeowner associations, individual property owners, property managers and businesses.

Attorney Roberts is a member of the New Hampshire and Maine Bar Associations, New Hampshire Bar Association real property and business litigation sections and Maine real property law section. He is a panel member for the Community Association Institute’s “almost free” legal advice seminars and has written articles for their magazine, “Common Ground”, and serves as a panel member for the Lorman Seminars and the National Business Institute’s condominium law/continuing legal education seminars for lawyers.

Mr. Roberts earned his B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, his law degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and has a master’s degree from Dartmouth College Medical School.

Attorney Roberts is a foremost authority on condominium law and has extensive experience in:
• Assisting condominium and homeowner associations with transition from developer control;
• Advising condominium and homeowner associations on state and federal legal issues affecting their operations;
• Legally modifying an associations’ governing documents to remove ambiguities;
• Providing clear and efficient operating procedures;
• Creating effective dispute resolution policies between homeowners and condominium associations,
• Clarifying the rights of owners under the governing documents, and
• Litigating issues for associations and owners.

Attorney Roberts has successfully represented associations and individual home owners in litigation at both the trial and appellate levels in both New Hampshire and Maine, dealing with issues related to enforcement of governing documents, association-developer disputes and association-owner disputes.
